Tapings are usually packed up at midnight, and continues the following day at an early call time.

This led actress Bianca King to slow down from doing series on TV because she realized that lack of sleep is one of the contributors to her tired, dull skin.

In her chat during the Cetaphil National Healthy Skin Mission last August 16 at SM Makati, she shared that she switched to a holistic skincare approach where sleep is a top priority.

She said, "Sleep is very important. It's at the top but it's the one that I learned about last."

She then added, "I started my very strict sleep journey last year from the book I read Why We Sleep by Dr. Matthew Walker.

"It changed my life. It changed everything even in career I wanna be in."

Bianca related that she follows a pattern where she sleeps for eight hours per night.

The 34-year-old actress said, "I also try to sleep at the same time every day, and wake up at the same time every day that's why you don't see me on TV. That's impossible if you're doing a show."

In case you're wondering how she manages to make it happen, she revealed that she sets a time-to-go-to-bed alarm.

"I actually have an alarm every day that goes off. It's time for me to shutdown, it's time to get ready for bed. It's at 9 p.m."

When asked what motivates her to sleep instead of binge-watching her favorite series on Netflix until midnight, Bianca responded, "I wanna be forever young. I wanna age gracefully, right?"

She also mentioned that one must put attention to nutrition and fitness as much as sleep to achieve a healthy skin.

She said, "I believe that a real healthy skin and real beauty, of course, starts with the gut so I do eat a lot of vegetables every day.

"Every meal, I have some kind of vegetable so I flush my gut and keep it clean and I think it shows in my skin."

Bianca continued, "Next thing is hydrate.

"I drink a lot of water, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke.

"I don't really drink fruit juices even, just water.

"I grope that habit some years ago.

"It was hard but I get there."

She then concluded, "And then, of course, fitness, sweat out the toxins so your skin glows."
