How to make Salma Hayek's cocktail rich in Vitamin C
The ongoing quarantine has unleashed a lot of people's culinary skills and/or creativity, as there are very few restaurants open for delivery, and most are left to their own devices in creating variety in the food and drinks they serve at home.
So, if you're torn about whether to have a smoothie or a cocktail today, why not try Salma Hayek's smoothie/cocktail recipe?
The no-sweat DIY smoothie/cocktail recipe has eight ingredients:
1) Kiwis
2) Mint leaves
3) Lemon
4) Ginger
5) Ice
6) Sparkling water
7) Calorie-free Stevia sweetener
8) Salvacion Mezcal or any other brand of mezcal
If you can't find kiwis, you may use oranges or pineapples as a substitute. Limes or calamansi can also be used instead of lemons. And if you can't get your hands on any mezcal, a great alternative would be tequila, as it is also made from the agave plant.
Kiwi is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, folate, and potassium. And the alternatives, orange, and pineapples, are also packed with vitamin C, which can help boost the immune system.
Salma also emphasized that mint leaves and ginger are both good for digestion.
For the step-by-step process on how to make a smoothie/cocktail, watch Salma's Instagram video below. Take note however that they forgot to include the adding of lemons in the video; so just don't forget to add them when you make your own smoothie/cocktail. Enjoy!
