Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera stressed the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19 as they recalled their family's recent ordeal with the virus.

“Kapag may pagkakataon talaga ay magpa-booster kung due ka na for a booster shot kasi dagdag proteksyon talaga 'yan hindi lang para sayo kundi para sa buong pamilya mo na rin [at] sa buong community,” Dingdong said in an interview for 24 Oras on Wednesday, January 26.

Marian reinforced this, saying that their family's bout with the virus can attest to the efficacy of the vaccine and booster shot in combating the infection.

The Kapuso power couple also announced that they are only around “95% recovered” since they're still currently suffering from a mild cough.

On another note, Marian opened up about the panic she felt after confirming they had all contracted the virus since their children Zia and Ziggy have yet to be inoculated.

Anong mangyayari? Anong kailangan natin na gawin?' So panic [ang naramdaman ko],” she said.

On Sunday, January 23, Dingdong revealed that he and his family tested positive for COVID-19 via his Facebook page.

He also underscored that contracting the virus is not something to be ashamed of, reiterating that anyone can be infected by it.

Aside from the Dantes squad, other celebrity families like the Arellanos, Triviños, and Ciprianos were also hit by the dreaded pandemic virus.
