Ryan Agoncillo documents his daily life not only through his day-to-day photos but with little anecdotes that touch the lives of his followers.

These little stories are often dedicated to his son Lucho on Instagram with the hashtag, “#storiesforlucho.”

The actor and Eat Bulaga host shared his latest story on Instagram on Wednesday, December 18, this time giving a peek into how he, his wife, and his colleagues were able to achieve their goals and making their dreams come true.

Divided into segments, Ryan began with a story on how his then-girlfriend-now-wife Judy Ann Santos dreamt of becoming a chef.

“2006 I was in Mindanao for work, to search for the very first Philippine Idol. My girlfriend came with me, she needed to think.

“I got back to the hotel, she was having a glass of wine, and deep in thought. She wanted to go to culinary school. Her dream was to be a chef.”

part 1/2 2006 i was in mindanao for work, to search for the very first philippine idol. my girlfirend came with me. she needed to think.i got back to the hotel, she was having a glass of wine, and deep in thought. she wanted to go to culinary school. her dream was to be a chef. 2007 i tasted the very first bowl of angrydobo in los angeles, california.my dream was to let the world experience the magic. 2009 already married, we got a franchise to learn the ropes of fast food. a year and a half passed, we were ok, but progress was slow. we got assigned by headquarters, a management newbie named jeramie. he had a degree in aeronautical engineering. the hell did he know about selling burgers and burritos? but he was snappy and hardworking. let's wait and see. our sales started to rise, then hq wanted him back and promote him to area manager. i told him to stay put, id match the salary. we had big plans. he said he wasn't after the money. his dream was to handle a wider market and diverse teams. i said be patient. now our 1st store that sold burgers and burritos is a consistent system-wide top seller. he also handles angrydobo, which in 6 months has opened 2 branches, and is in high demand to be framchised in overseas markets. next week we're set to open another franchise we took on, this time serving pizza. by the way, 3 weeks ago, his appendix burst, now he's back for more action.

This then advanced into tasting his very first bowl of Angrydobo in 2007, Judy Ann creating her very first YouTube channel in 2015, and eventually opening their very first branch early this year.

Looking back, Ryan gave his piece of advice on the age-old question, “How do you make your dreams come true?”

His answer: “I believe, in order to make your dreams come true, you have to wake up, do the hard work, and then be of service in furthering the hopes and dreams of the person who stands by you.”

part 2/2 2015 kids were asleep, we went downstairs for a drink. my wife said, she dreams of writing a cookbook. she whips out some paper and starts writing. we didn't stop laughing till dawn. during pre production, our wedding godson jong, an upstart tv production designer said, he dreams of becoming a food stylist. we took culinary lessons together and he wanted to use the learned skillset. judy anns kitchen the cookbook is now an internationally awarded publication. part 2 is in the works. apart from being a much sought after food stylist for tv commercials, jong is also a very hectic PD, for television and movies, shuttling back and forth between local and hollywood produced projects. everything stops though when it's time to film judy anns kitchen the youtube channel, which has as of this writing close to 1 million subscribers. 2018 it was the mother of my 3 childrens 40th birthday surprise, my one and only brother and i were in one corner smiling at the revelers. he and his wife had planned all their lives to retire early from the corporate world. and that year they did. he was chief business development officer for a top multinational insurance provider and she was a vice president for retail group for the number one telecommunications company in the country. they wanted to focus on their growing bagnet franchises. he told me though, his real dream is to combine our talents to give something new and elevate the experience of filipino food to something truly global. how do you make your dreams come true? there are many routes to take, and there are many experts. i only know one way though. i believe, in order to make your dreams come true, you have to wake up, do the hard work, and then be of service in furthering the hopes and dreams of the person who stands by you. #storiesforlucho
