Raffy Tulfo ties Sara Duterte in Pulse Asia match-up poll; Leni closes in

Sen. Raffy Tulfo tied Vice President Sara Duterte, 46 percentage points apiece, in a Pulse Asia presidential preference poll that pitted the two officials against each other from February 27 to March 2.

Results of a similar question that matched Duterte with Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo showed the Vice President leading her predecessor, 51 to 43.

The respondents were asked, "If the May 2028 elections are held today, and the following are the candidates, who will you vote for as president in the following lists?"

Pulse Asia president Ronald D. Holmes confirmed that the survey results were part of the firm's March 2026 Ulat ng Bayan survey.

He said the figures are based on rider questions commissioned by the office of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri.

Duterte and Tulfo were also tied at 42 in the National Capital Region while Tulfo led, 72 to 19, in the rest of Luzon.

Duterte scored 90 in Mindanao against Tulfo’s 9. In the Visayas, Duterte led Tulfo, 64 against 32.

Robredo led Duterte, 42 to 41, in the NCR; and 67 to 26, in the rest of Luzon.

Duterte led Robredo in the Visayas, 67 to 31; and in Mindanao, 93 to 6.

Among social classes, Tulfo edged Duterte, 49 to 29, in the ABC class. Duterte led Tulfo, 48 to 47, in D; and 63 to 32, in E.

In the Duterte-Robredo match-up, the former Vice President led among the ABC class, 63 to 30. Duterte led in the D (53 to 41), and E (74 to 23) classes, respectively.

The Ulat ng Bayan survey conducted from February 27 to March 2 among 1,200 respondents, aged 18 years old and above. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8%. –Vince Ferreras/NB, GMA News
