NASA at Home, a unique escape to beat the quarantine boredom

NASA at Home is the perfect escape for you and your loved ones during the quarantine period brought about by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

With the many informative and engaging features in it, both kids and adults will surely be entertained while staying at home. Here are the six portals you can explore at NASA at Home:

1. E-Books

In NASA at Home's E-Books section, you can feast on great reads such as NASA's Contribution to Aeronautics, the Hubble space telescope's recent discoveries about the galaxies, and the Saturn system through the eyes of NASA's Cassini spacecraft, to name a few.

2. Be a Scientist

The 'Be a Scientist' section of NASA at Home provides opportunities for citizen scientists to contribute to ongoing research. An example of this is the GLOBE Observer, where people can submit their observations on changes in clouds, water, plants, and other life on earth to help scientists in climate research.

3. Virtual Tours & Apps

There are various virtual tours you can take via NASA at Home, including a tour of NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center, NASA's Glenn Research Center facilities, the Langley Research Center, the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, and the International Space Station.

NASA at Home also has some apps you can download, such as the NASA Selfie App, where you can put your photo on a virtual spacesuit in front of some of NASA's most captivating space images.

And last but definitely not least, the For Kids and Families section of NASA at Home is packed with educational and entertaining stuff that the whole family can enjoy. There's literally a lot to explore in this portal but mentioned below are the ones that really stand out from the rest.

Some of the noteworthy educational features found in the For Kids and Families section are the NASA STEM@ HOME and Learning Space, where scholastic materials and fun activities are segregated by different grade levels.
