Aiai Delas Alas lauded for starting a business amid ECQ

Kapuso actress-comedienne Aiai Delas Alas expressed her gratitude towards consumers who bought and enjoyed her pastries.

Since work in the show business was halted because of enhanced community quarant due to COVID-19 pandemic, the actress decided to use her culinary skills and put up her Martina's Bread and Pastries business in April.

Her first venture in baking was her very own ube pandesal, which received good feedback from customers.

One netizen even compared her famous ube pandesal to a Japanese pastry.

The post reads: “What we like po about your pandesal is it's not flaky like a regular pandesal. It's super soft in the inside. Para siyang Melon pan ng Kumori.”

To which Aiai replied: “Nakakataba ng puso ang level naman namin ay pang-Japanese store na. Hehe. Salamat po. To God be the glory.”

Meanwhile, another netizen commended the actress for being a role model and an inspiration during the COVID-19 crisis in the country.

Saludo po,” a certain Munirah Monette said.

Aiai took notice of the comment, and replied: “Oo. Sayang oras at panahon. Salamat.”

Aiai delas Alas, mas enjoy maging panadera kaysa artista?

Aiai also revealed that this business is a family affair since her husband Gerald Sibayan, sons, and in-laws have their respective tasks from mixing the ingredients, kneading the dough, weighing its volume down to polishing and baking.

'Yung bread namin is made with love kasi kaming buong pamilya na nagmamahalan ang gumagawa ng tinapay,” Aiai said in an exclusive interview with 24 Oras.
