Mariel Padilla proud to be able to cook more
Action star Robin Padilla continues to chronicle the culinary adventures and misadventures of his wife Mariel in his Instagram account.
In a new video, Robin revealed that he and Mariel stayed up until 1:00 am trying to make pandesal.
He revealed that the problem was with the yeast being unable to make the dough rise.
"Panoorin ninyo kung bakit kami umabot ng ala 1/una ng umaga sa paggawa ng pandesal para kinabukasan sa almusal, dapat sana 10 pm tapos na pero nagkaroon ng problema sa yeast kaya kinailangan gawan ng paraan ng cooking ina upang hindi masayang ang pagod at puhunan sa ingredients Alhamdulillah," he wrote.
Mariel even called her cousin to consult her about what to do to salvage the dough. Her baker cousin simply advised her to add more yeast.
"Nagbigay ako ng salita na ako ang gagawa ng tinapay ng pamilya ko. Ginusto ko 'to. Samantalang kung bumili sa bakery, three pesos lang ang isa," Mariel jokes as she portions the dough.
Mariel also shared that she is proud to have made giant strides in the kitchen.
"10 years ago noong nagpakasal tayo, scrambled eggs lang ang alam kong lutuin. Proud na proud pa 'ko. Ngayon, sarili nating pandesal," she tells Robin.
