Ciara Sotto's PPASA gets recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee

The Philippine Pole and Aerial Sports Association (PPASA) is officially a member of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC)!

And no one feels more elated than its founder and president, Ciara Sotto, who shared the great news on her Instagram account.

On August 10, she announced, "I'm very honored to present to you, the Philippine Pole and Aerial Sports Association (PPASA).

"As the Founder and President of the PPASA, I have been working on this for more than 2 years.

"I am very grateful to the Philippine Olympic Committee for finally recognizing us.

"This is such a great blessing from God and a very big milestone for the Pole and Aerial community in the Philippines."

Ciara hopes that through this recognition, her group will be "appreciated not just by our country but by the whole world."

Based on its social media accounts, PPASA will be the national team of the Philippines for pole and aerial sports in future games.

But as of this writing, the activity is yet to gain its official recognition as a sport. It aims to follow the likes of skateboarding and surfing, which were supposed to make its Olympic debut in Tokyo this year.

Ciara first got hooked into pole dancing in 2010.

She told Tunay na Buhay, that her love for dancing and aversion for going to the gym pushed her to pursue the activity.

As years went by, her interest in it grew which led her to become a pole dancing teacher, and now a founder.

In the comments section, celebrities and personalities showed their admiration for the youngest daughter of Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa.
