Slater Young reacts to Arch. Oliver Austria's SKYPOD video reaction
Former actor turned businessman Slater Young heeded the call of his followers by finally reacting to the reaction video made by Architect Oliver Austria who shared his thoughts about their Cebu home called the SKYPOD, a name taken from the initials of Slater and Kryz Young's names, S-K-Y.
In the video, Slater, who is also an engineer, gave his thoughts on Oliver's reaction and explained in detail how he was able to construct their beautiful modern home in under 10 months.
He also revealed that his initial dream was to become an architect.
Slater said, “Sobrang gusto kong maging architect noon. After finishing civil engineering nag-try akong kumuha ng architecture pero ang problema, it's another five years.
“It's unfair kasi kung nag-start ako na maging architect and then become an engineer parang two or three years lang. Pero kung nauna kang maging engineer and then naging architect, five years ang dagdag.
“So I decided 'wag na. Pero, I've always been a fan of architects and architecture so lahat ng mga ganito palagi kong pinag-aaralan at niri-research. Na-apply ko rin naman sa trabaho ko.”
At the end of the video, Slater even invited Oliver if ever the latter finds himself in Cebu one of these days.
He said, “Sige, hanapan natin ng paraan para makapunta ka rito sa SKYPOD. Baka after nitong this whole pandemic thing.
“Thank you so much, Architect! Nakakatuwa na ni-rate mo ang bahay namin na 13 out of 10. Nakakatouch siyempre coming from an architect.
"I was nervous kasi baka hindi mo nagustuhan 'yung bahay namin kasi sobra namin itong pinaghirapan. Buti na lang nagustuhan mo.
“When all of this is over, you can come over and pwede natin pag-usapan 'yung straightness of the walls and nerd-out on all of these architectural details. Magandang collab 'yun, oy!”
