Eric 'Eruption' Tai receives his YouTube Silver Play Button
Model-actor Eric Tai, commonly known as “Eruption” finally received his Silver Play Button from YouTube and could not help but express his gratitude for the recognition, saying that another dream has come true for him this 2023.
Eric shared the good news on his Instagram account on Saturday, February 18, saying that he's slowly accomplishing his long-term goals.
“I still can't believe what is happening right now.. Dahil sa kembutan or 'TingTing' I am slowly reaching accomplishing my 'Long Term Goals' within a short-term goal span,” he said in his post.
He further thanked everyone who gave their “undying support” to him saying that he “wouldn't be here without all of ya'll, esp' the #tingtingsquad & #bigboydance.”
The YouTube Creator Awards, commonly known as the YouTube Play Buttons, are a series of awards given to content creators as recognition for the most popular channels based on their subscriber count.
The Silver Play Button that Eric received is awarded to creators and channels who have already reached or surpassed the 100,000 subscribers mark. The next award, the Gold Play Button, is awarded to channels that have reached or surpassed 1,000,000 subscribers.
Eric is best known for doing the viral dance challenge on TikTok for the remixed version of the Vietnamese song “See Tinh.” He posted videos of himself and his crew to the tune in various locations and even invited other celebrities to join in their challenge.
He even challenged game master and Family Feud host Dingdong Dantes to dance when he became a player in the show.
Eric then ended his caption with his takeaway on receiving his award, “I guess the take-home message here is to love what you do, do what you love. You'll eventually get there.”
“Just believe and don't stop refining and grinding it coz you'll never know when you'll be viral or even trending worldwide next. Stay ready and…'DO YOUR TING' don't forget this!” he added.
