Alden Richards on working with Superstar Nora Aunor: 'It's really something else'

Man of the hour Alden Richards seems to be the busiest artist around, having a throng of endorsements and a primetime TV series with no less than the Kapuso Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera. Alden’s star shines even brighter as he takes on a project with the one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor.

Kinabukasan will be Alden Richards’ first foray into the independent film industry. Under the helm of award-winning director Adolf Alix, Jr., the short film will revolve around the characters played by Ms. Nora Aunor and Alden Richards.

In an interview with Alden Richards during the pocket press conference for his Men’s Health February cover, he said, “It’s an honor for me to be able to work with the Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor. Only few are given the chance, just like working with Marian.”

“The way I see it, wala pa yatang artistang na-achieve kung ano ‘yung na-achieve ni Ms. Nora Aunor. To get a chance to work with her, it’s really something else. Ang laki ng self-confidence na na-gain ko dito and masasabi ko na nakatrabaho ko si Nora Aunor,” he added.

He mentioned that he has learned a lot from the veteran actress and would love to work with her again on a full-length film or project in the future.

Alden also cited Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos and Mega Star Sharon Cuneta as actresses whom he would like to work with soon.

Alden has already finished shooting for Kinabukasan, but there is no target screening date yet. There are also plans to screen the independent short film in film festivals abroad.

Alden Richards currently appears in Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw and Sunday All Stars.
