Jake Vargas on how Michael V. inspires him

Father, husband, creative director, writer, actor, host – how Michael V. is able to manage everything at once and so brilliantly is beyond Jake Vargas.

The young actor expressed how he has so much respect for his Pepito Manaloto co-star and how he hopes to be at least half as successful as the veteran comedian.

Just as he didn’t expect to be part of the hit family-oriented TV series, he also never imagined working with Michael V. At Jake’s young age of 21, he uses this opportunity to pick the brains and observe the work ethic of someone who is considered to be a veteran of the industry.

“Kapag sinasabi ko ‘Kuya Bitoy, paano ba atake nito?’ Sinasabi niya sa akin (kung paano)… kasi 'di ba, matagal na siyang artista,” Jake said.

Jake, who plays Michael V’s son in the sitcom, is also impressed with how someone who is famous and successful can stay down-to-earth. He shared that their entire production is practically family. On the set, the male members of the cast bond even more by playing NBA 2K14 on a game console.

“Ako, si Kuya Arthur, si Kuya John, si Kuya Bitoy… Hindi mawawala [ang paglalaro] nyan,” he shared. Jake even said that Michael V. bought a portable equipment for them to be able to play anywhere, every time they're together.

However, Jake’s most favorite thing about his idol is how family-oriented he is. This quality inspires the young star and declared that he wants to be as good of a father and husband when the right time comes. “’Pag nagka-family ako, parang ganun din sa kanya. Tinatawagan niya nga minsan [yung asawa at mga anak niya] ‘pag nasa taping kami eh. Kinakamusta at kinukulit niya,” Jake disclosed.
