Celeste Cortesi expresses her gratitude to people who supported her Miss Universe Philippines run.
In just over a week, the new Miss Universe Philippines is getting crowned on May 13. With the day drawing close, current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi took the time to look back at her own coronation night.
On a post on her Instagram account, Celeste posted a couple of photos of herself wearing the La Mer en Majeste crown that she won in last year's pageant. In the caption to the post, she expressed her gratitude to the people that have been with her and supported her “unconditionally.” She also thanked the fans and expressed her “joy and gratitude” for their love.
As Celeste ends her reign, the current competitors of the upcoming 2023 Miss Universe Philippines pageants have a number of activities lined up for them in the coming days. Tomorrow at 7 p.m., the pageant's national costume competition will be staged at the Leyte Normal University. The competition will be streamed on the Empire PH YouTube channel.
Three days from now, the organization will stage the Miss Universe Philippines talent presentation at 7.pm. at Cove Manila. The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide grand finals will also be held alongside the talent presentation.
Aside from the pageant preliminaries, the Miss Universe 2023 Fashion and Charity Gala will also be held on May 10, 6 p.m., at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom. The gala, which is being held for the benefit of Save the Children and Hope 4 Change, will have Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel as a special guest.
The past month saw the announcement of the top five for the pageant's swimsuit challenge - Miss Agusan del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx, Miss Bulacan Princess Anne Marcos, Miss Capiz Shayne Glenmae Maquiran, and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto.
Miss Agusan del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Miss Bulacan Princess Anne Marcos, and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto were also named part of the Photoshoot Challenge top five last month alongside Miss Eastern Samar Airissh Ramos and Miss Quezon Province Lesly Sim.
The top performers for the Runway Challenge are now the only ones left to be announced.
