Miss Universe Philippines organization teases new pageant
Filipino pageant fans are going to get their fill in the coming months as the Miss Universe Philippines organization has just announced another pageant.
In a post on the organization's official Instagram account, the group teased the upcoming The Miss Philippines California. While no further details were provided, the Miss Universe Philippines organization raised the possibility of the next Miss Universe Philippines being a “Fil-Am beauty”.
The Miss Philippines California would be the third pageant the organization has introduced, following The Miss Philippines and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide.
While the Miss Universe Philippines organization looks for a successor to the current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee, she is preparing hard for the upcoming Miss Universe coronation night in Ecuador on November 18.
During a recent interview aired on Unang Hirit, Michelle expressed her excitement about the Miss Universe coronation night and also shared that she and the Miss Universe Philippines team are polishing her performance for the pageant.
“Sabihin nating perfect na, mas kaya pang i-perfect. Obviously, I have so much trust in my team, I have much trust in the organization,” she said. “We all know I love giving a show and I love looking the part as well, so abangan [n'yo] talaga.”

Aside from preparing for the pageant, Michelle has also been busy with her advocacies. Last month, Michelle met with officers of the Autism Society Philippines, “a national non-profit dedicated to the well-being of Filipinos who live on autism spectrum and those who care for them.” In the caption to the post, Michelle promised that there are a lot of amazing things in store for the Autism Society of the Philippines.
Michelle also met with the Autism Society Philippines last month, with the meeting held at Pancake House, Magallanes, which employs people on the autism spectrum as part of the Autism Works Campaign of the Autism Society of the Philippines.
During the Miss Universe Philippines pageant, Michelle shared a video of her and the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 candidates taking part in an autism awareness seminar.
