Ang larawang ito ni Rita ay umani ng mga paghanga mula sa netizens dahil sa kanyang katutubong ganda. Kasunod nito, nakilala na siya sa mundo ng showbiz at napanood din sa ilang TV programs.
Nito lamang nakaraang Agosto, ginulat ni Rita ang mundo ng show business nang ianunsyo niya na isa na siyang ina.

Rita Gaviola was just a 13-year-old Badjao teen when photographer Topher Quinto Burgos spotted her from the crowd attending the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban in May 2016.
She became known as the beautiful “Badjao Girl” after her photos circulated online. Netizens praised her model-like physique and striking features.
Rita's family belongs to a group called Badjao, an indigenous tribe.
Rita was still young when she moved from Zamboanga to Lucena with her parents and five siblings. Her father worked as a garbage collector while her mother stayed at home to watch over her siblings.
Rita asked for alms in the streets to help her family.
Her photos caught the attention of celebrities like Miss World Philippines 2015 Hillarie Danielle Parungao, Miss International Philippines 2014 Bianca Guidotti, and Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong. The beauty queens took to social media with their intent to help Rita develop her potential.
She ventured into showbiz when she joined a reality show from ABS-CBN, and became one of the youngest contestants at the age of 13.

After saving up enough money and receiving help from Grace Kreutzer, a fan based in the US, Rita was able to have her family house improved and renovated.
