People looking to help facilitate the pageant dreams of aspiring beauty queens now have the opportunity to do so as the Miss World Philippines organization is putting out a call for local franchise owners.
The Miss World Philippines organization made the announcement on its official Instagram account, saying that they are now accepting applications for provincial directors who will handle the pageant's local franchise and help “empower more queens from different provinces.”
Along with the call for local franchise holders was the announcement of MJV Mclelland as the local franchise holder for Miss World Philippines Western Visayas. As such, the representatives of the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras, and Negros Occidental to the Miss World Philippines pageant will be picked from competitions organized by her.
This announcement, as well as the call for local franchise holders, comes after the announcement of the Pangasinan provincial government as the local franchise for Miss World Philippines. As the local franchise holder of Miss World Philippines, Limgas Na Pangasinan World will now be the one picking the province's representative to the Miss World Philippines pageant. The current Limgas Na Pangasinan titleholder, Nikhisa Buenafe Cheve, will be the province's official candidate to the upcoming Miss World Philippines pageant.
The current reigning Miss World Philippines that these future pageant competitors hope to follow is Gwendolyne Fourniol, who is drumming up support for the advocacies she supports. Earlier this month, she sent out a call for donations on her Instagram account by explaining her initiative, #BridgeTheGapBuildTheFuture. The initiative seeks to raise funds and provide resources for the ERDA Foundation, a non-government organization that was founded in 1974 and “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.”
Gwendolyn has also been raising funds for the ERDA Foundation's future Learning Hub in Baseco, Tondo.
