Miss Universe Philippines

Miss Universe Philippines continues to strengthen its position in the local pageant scene with the onboarding of another accredited partner.

Romblon beauties looking to represent the country in upcoming Miss Universe pageants can now turn to an accredited Miss Universe Philippines partner to help them further their pageant dreams.

In one of the more recent posts on their official Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization announced that they now have an accredited partner for Romblon in Pablo Mendez, who is now the Miss Universe Philippines Romblon local director.

Present at the contract signing held at The Vault BGC were president and national director of Miss Universe Philippines, Jonas Gaffud; MUPH VP for National and Global Search, Mags Cue; MUPH director for Local and Asia-Pacific Search, Arnold Mercado; and MUPH head of digital, Paolo Arevalo.

Miss Universe Philippines Romblon is the latest partner accredited by the Miss Universe Philippines organization. Back in December last year, the organization named Gerald Ortiz as an accredited partner (AP) of the organization in Quezon Province. The organization also posted multiple pictures from the contract signing that featured Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee, AP Directors Joseph Rivera and Arnold Mercado, and CPT President Lloyd Lee.

In September last year, the Miss Universe Philippines' sister organization The Miss Philippines announced a partnership with Miss Asia Pacific International. The Miss Asia Pacific International was first started in 1965 as a Miss Asia contest before becoming Miss Asia Pacific in 1984 and Miss Asia Pacific Quest in 1985 before becoming Miss Asia Pacific International. The pageant aims to promote Philippine tourism overseas, which mirrors The Miss Philippines pageant's own objectives.

The Miss Universe Philippines organization also teased The Miss Philippines California back in August, with the group raising the possibility of the next Miss Universe Philippines being a “Fil-Am beauty”.
