Singer, actor, dancer, producer, and motorbike racer, Wang Yibo is one of the hottest young stars in China right now.
He skyrocketed to fame after starring in the 2019 period fantasy series 'The Untamed' with fellow young actor Xiao Zhan.
The series was a smash hit in China, which then secured a release on international streaming giant, Netflix.
This meant that the popularity of the two leads extended to a worldwide audience as well.
Before becoming a household name, Wang Yibo started in the entertainment industry as a member of Chinese-Korean idol group UNIQ, which debuted in 2014.
A few of their songs have even made it to the soundtrack of international movies such as 'The Penguins of Madagascar' and 'TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).'
The group was active for four years before going on hiatus.
While promoting with UNIQ, Wang Yibo has also starred in films such as romantic drama 'MBA Partners' and fantasy comedy 'A Chinese Odyssey' in 2016.
His first television role was in 2017 in the drama series 'Love Actually,' followed by 2019 e-sports drama 'Gank Your Heart.'
He wowed many viewers with his dance skills when he became the dance mentor for idol search competition, 'Produce 101.'
He was also one of the judges in the third season of dance competition 'Street Dance of China' where he showed off his mastery of popping and locking.
Wang Yibo has also released a song called "No Sense" in December 30, 2019. The song sold 6 million digital copies in a span of 20 minutes.
The song was also his first attempt at songwriting and speaks about overcoming difficulties and remaining optimistic.
He broke his personal record just a year after, in December 30, 2020, when he released a song called "My Rules." The song sold 7 million digital copies in 10 minutes.
The song even debuted on the 14th spot of the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart during the fourth week of January 2021.

Wang Yibo was born on August 5, 1997 in Luoyang, Henan, China.

Wang Yibo has been a member of the Yamaha China Racing Team since 2019. In August of the same year, he participated in the Asia Road Racing Championship and won second place in the mixed competition and first place in the rookie division.
He is also a big fan of skateboarding and was even named Chinese Skateboarding Promotion Ambassador by the government.
He became the official partner of giant sports brand, Nike, in Mainland China in 2020, the first entertainer to be granted thsi title. This is among the string of endorsements and partnerships he has with other brands including Swarovski, Lenovo, KFC, Shu Uemura cosmetics, and many others.
Aside from being the Chinese Skateboarding Promotion Ambassador, he was also appointed as Chinese winter sports and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics ambassador.
He joined 200 celebrities and donated a total of 278 million yuan to Han Hong Charity Foundation in order to help the city of Wuhan, which was widely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
