If you haven't caught the news by now, you should probably know that K-pop idol Wonho, real name Lee Hoseok, has been hailed as Captain Korea by Men's Health Magazine.
The magazine showed two cover images of the singer: a topless Wonho that revealed his muscular physique and him wearing a navy suit while still showing off his rock-hard abs.
In a post made on Instagram, Men's Health Korea wrote, “On the threshold of spring, singer Wonho opens the March issue of Men's Health and the 15th anniversary of its foundation. He is definitely the hottest artist of his time.”
And though yes, he has got the abs, the biceps, and a killer smile, Wenees and Monbebes know that there's more to Wonho than just the body. He's got the voice, the talent, and the biggest heart, too!
While we can't list down everything, here are just some of the reasons why Wonho captivated our hearts, making him, indeed, Mr. Captain Korea.
As an amazing lyricist, composer, and arranger, Wonho has always shared heartwarming messages to fans through his music. Just think about his many discographies, including “I Do Love U,” “Steal Your Heart,” “From Zero,” “Heart Attack,” “Who Do U Love,” and “Losing You.” Only Wonho can deliver songs like this, and we're sure that whenever he'd make captivating lyrics, he'd always, always have his fans in mind.
Wonho has always been the person who loves to work out -- no wonder he amazing physique. So much so that it inspires us to get on our feet and start exercising! He takes this to the next level by sharing his favorite at-home exercises in his personal YouTube account, “ohhoho.”
One thing to note about Wonho is that he loves to eat noodles, most especially ramen. Remember the time he'd always ask for Ramen in “Right Now?” How about when he tried to convince Shownu, I.M., and Kihyun that the ramen didn't taste nice so he can eat it all to himself? Wonho is all of us when it comes to our favorite meals.
Most fans would know that Wonho suffers from acrophobia or the fear of heights. But this doesn't stop the K-pop idol from doing anything he puts his mind to. When they filmed the music video for 'Hero,' Wonho made sure to take medicine to make sure he wouldn't get sick during filming. Aside from that, he even jumped off a 233-meter tower in Hong Kong on their reality series 'Right Now' by thinking about his fellow MONSTA X members.
Wenees and Monbebes hearts will immediately melt whenever Wonho would show off his cute laughter, aegyo, and a killer smile. If the photo above doesn't make you say “aww,” we don't know what will.
Wonho is known for being humble and appreciative of fans; that's why he never misses the opportunity to thank them for helping him achieve his dreams. During a MONSTA X concert, the singer got sentimental and said that he couldn't imagine performing in front of his fans.
A lyricist, a producer, and even an artist? Wonho blew everyone's minds when he showed off his artistic skills in drawing when he drew Jooheon in an interview in TRL.
On Valentine's Day, Wonho showed his appreciation for all his staff who have been assisting him during his solo endeavors as of late. That's why he treated them with a special package that included treats and chocolates, which he packed himself.
Nothing screams dad material than seeing Wonho take good care of children. All of his interactions with kids are so adorable you can't help but imagine him being a great dad to his own children someday.
Now with his latest mini-album and birthday coming up, we can honestly say that we're whipped for Wonho. Not just because of his physique but because of his talent and his great heart -- a definite embodiment of what it means to be Captain Korea.
