Mark Tuan has made a name for himself as a solo artist, but he remains a loyal visual and main rapper for GOT7, where he began his career.
Prior to becoming a K-pop idol, Mark was a regular student in Los Angeles, California, where he grew up. Though born as a Taiwanese, he spent his younger years living in Paraguay and Brazil.
Mark debuted with GOT7 in 2014 under JYP Entertainment along with members Jinyoung, Jackson, BamBam, Jay B, and Yugyeom.
In 2024, he performed his first solo concert in the Philippines for his 'The Other Side' Asian Tour.

Tuan Yien or Mark Tuan was born on September 4, 1993.
Mark was a high school student in California in 2010 when he was scouted by JYP Entertainment while he was at school.
This led to his auditioning and becoming a trainee.
He debuted with GOT7 on January 16, 2014 with the single "Girls Girls Girls."
Mark released "Save Me" under his album 'The Other Side' on April 7, 2022.
He released his digital EP 'Fallin' on October 27, 2023.
In 2021, after all GOT7 members decided to not renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment, Mark established his own studio called Mark Tuan Studio or Duan Yien Studio.
He moved back to the U.S. after leaving JYP Entertainment and launched his official YouTube channel under the name Mark Tuan.
He has also showcased his life touring through his vlogs.
He's a cat and dog dad.
He gets to showcase his real side now that he's established his own studio.
In a past interview, Mark shared that he felt lacking in potential when he first became a trainee. "When I first became a trainee, I'd never sang, danced, or rapped before, so after coming to Korea I started learning everything from the beginning. Starting from square one, honestly [speaking], was very difficult. While all of the other trainees were good at singing and dancing, I was the only one who couldn't do anything so that point in time was very difficult [for me]."
He's also a sought-after fashion model known for his striking visuals and huge fan base across Asia and the U.S.
Mark takes his fitness routines religiously, he said in a 'PEOPLE' interview from 2022, "I make it a goal to keep my body in shape and mentally healthy to perform," he says. "As I'm getting older, I'm learning to limit what my body can do now." He admits, "My body is not what it used to be so I wished I had stretched a little more back then and worked on strengthening my muscles."
