Ilang taon na ring pinagsasabay ni Shaira Diaz ang kaniyang showbiz commitments at pag-aaral. Ngayong taon, magtatapos na siya sa kursong Marketing Management.
Sa interview niya sa Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel podcast, sinabi ng Unang Hirit host na napili niya ang Marketing Management na course dahil gusto niyang magtayo ng business.
“Iniisip ko na magbi-business ako eventually, kapag meron nang sapat na capital or 'pag naisip na akong business na gusto kong gawin,” sabi niya.
Ngunit ayon din kay Shaira, kahit na Marketing Management ang unang course na kinuha niya ay hindi iyon ang unang napili niya, kundi medicine.
“Ang gusto ko po sana talaga, mag-doctor. Kaya lang po, during that time, hindi talaga kaya ng financial. So sabi ko, sige dito na lang kasi hindi kaya ng parents ko,” sabi niya.
Dagdag pa ng aktres ay alam naman niyang mahal ang kurso ng medicine kaya mas pinili na lang niyang kumuha ng ibang course.
Sa ngayon, kailangan na lang ni Shaira na kumpletuhin ang kaniyang 600 hours na on-the-job training o OJT para makapagtapos na siya. Kaya ngayong naka-sembreak siya ay kinukuha na niya ang lahat ng trabaho para makapag-focus sa OJT sa paparating na second semester.
Ayon pa sa actress-TV host, pinili niyang mag-OJT sa isang sports club malapit lang sa kanila “para kung hanggang gabihin man, kunyari, mag-overtime man ako para mapunan 'yung mga hinahabol kong oras.”
Dagdag pa niya ay kahit usually ay pinipili ng school kung saan nila gagawin ang OJT ay pinayagan siyang mamili. Nang tanungin siya kung baka magulat ang mga katrabaho niya 'pag pumasok na siya, ang sagot ni Shaira, “Hindi naman po siguro.
“Kasi, naglalaro din po ako diyaan sa sports club, e, nagva-volleyball po kasi ako, 'yun 'yung sports ko, so nakikita naman na nila ako,” sabi niya.
Patuloy pa niya, “Nagtanong ako, sabi ko, 'Uy, tumatanggap ba kayo ng OJT?' Sabi niya, oo daw, sabi nila. So, sabi ko, 'Sige, sige, mag-aapply ako.' Tapos ayun, nakatimbre na po."
