Michelle Madrigal admits she was broke before she became a mompreneur

By Maine Aquino

In an Instagram post, Michelle Madrigal admitted how she turned to alcohol when she was broke and how she was able to reach her dreams. As a way to encourage others, Michelle shared what transpired before she was able to reach her objective as a mompreneur.

She started off by describing the photo and what her status was at that point. “Throwing it back to when I was working 2 jobs a day just to get by (Pay rent, food, mortgage in Manila, bills etc). I was only making $1,700 a month. I was broke, living paycheck to paycheck so I abused my body by turning to alcohol and partying to forget my problems. I was running away from them!”

According to Michelle, she got pregnant a year after and left her acting career to be with her beau, Troy Woolfolk. She disclosed that she searched for the job that she loves but had difficulty finding one since she does not have a college degree. Michelle also shared that she had an opportunity from a designer brand but she was about to give birth at that time.

She asserted that she found her purpose only this 2018. Michelle is now a wellness coach based in Austin, Texas.

“An amazing opportunity knocked on our door. It's something that fits my lifestyle and the purpose I was longing for. I knew I've always wanted to help people (I just didn't know how), I knew I wanted to start my own business but I didn't know where to start, I knew I wanted to be my own boss! Only few months into the game and already doubled my monthly salary when I was slaving away in the kitchen and the BEST part about it??? I get to work anywhere in my own terms and around my daughter.”

Michelle shared some advice to those who are going through the same circumstance. She said, “If you can relate with me and feel that you're meant for something bigger but don't know where or how to start... come join me! Today is the day you will DECIDE and show up for yourself and don't let ANYBODY tell you nothing! Silence the naysayers... I know juggling motherhood, trying to be a career woman and being a wife is TOUGH. But YOU are meant to live bigger with purpose my friends!”
