Philippine Madrigal Singers alumni and University of the Philippines Concert Chorus start virtual choir amid ECQ

People from all walks of life are coming together to help heal the world as it faces the COVID-19 pandemic in any way they can; may it be through their vocation, their donation, or through their God-given talents.

Filipino composer Ily Matthew Maniano posted a video on Facebook of the Philippine Madrigal Singers alumni forming a virtual choir to sing "Be Still My Soul." Their performance is dedicated to everyone affected by the current health crisis that the world is facing.

"Specially dedicated to those who've been badly affected by this pandemic, to family, friends and loved ones who've passed, to the frontliners, and to all of us. May you be moved and be blessed."

Meanwhile, the University of the Philippines Concert Chorus also formed a virtual choir of their own and together, they sang the Italian lullaby titled "Buona Notte." Theirs is a message of hope to the people in Italy who were hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

"Hearing the news about how badly Italy is hit this #Covid-19 pandemic breaks my heart. My UP Concert Chorus family collaborated on this video to send a message of hope to all the Italian families."
