Maritoni Fernandez lauds honest delivery driver for returning neighbor's 130k cash

What would you do if you accidentally stumbled upon PhP 130,000 in cash? Would you return it to the owner or keep it for yourself? Return it of course!

That's what happened with Jerome Gulang, the honest Lalamove driver that was lauded by actress Maritoni Fernandez on Instagram yesterday, May 21st.

In the post, Maritoni told the story of how her neighbor was in disbelief to know that she accidentally gave Jerome the wrong envelope containing cash instead of the documents he was supposed to deliver.

With the money securely in tow, Jerome went all the way back from Cubao to Maritoni's neighborhood to return the wrong parcel.

Maritoni shared, “Shout out to our neighbor's Lalamove driver who was so honest today. She was a little dazed when she gave the wrong envelope to him this morning. PhP 130k in cash to be exact.

“Jerome Gulang was already in Cubao when he realized she had given him the money instead of the package he was supposed to be delivering and went all the way back.

“You are an angel and the Lord Jesus will bless your honest heart, Jerome.”

In the comments section, fans of the actress praised Jerome for a job well done and wished for more honest members of the society like him.

One mentioned, “Mabuhay ka, Sir Jerome. You have my respect… Ang sarap maging Pilipino.”

Another wrote, “Thank you for your honesty kuya! We will pray for your safety and good health always.”
