IU unboxes own merchandise in latest YouTube video

With the opening of her official online store last April 23, K-pop singer IU played fan for a day as she tried ordering her own merchandise from the website.

Upon entering the site, she immediately clicked on the items she wants to buy but sadly found out that it's already sold out.

“It's sold out? All of them are sold out?” pertaining to two versions of a zip-up hoodie from her Love Poem era.

“What's this? I thought they sell them all in this store! So I can't but it? It's not even a non-purchase item?”

She then proceeded by advising the web designers to change the wordings on the site.

“You know, they could use words that feel less bad. Something like, 'on hold.' Why can't they say that? Saying it's not available just makes me feel bad.

“And it's not available ever? It doesn't look hard to make. Hahaha! Why can't they sell it? There's a customer who wants to buy it,” she tells her staff.

IU moved on with her online shopping by purchasing a few items from her latest collection.

In a separate video, she then showcased the array of merchandise she was able to purchase.

As it turns out, IU is very particular when it comes to her belongings, most especially when it comes to notebooks.

She tells the viewer, “This is the notebook set. Ooh, the paper quality is very nice. There are ones that smudge on the back so you can see the writing. You know some papers are like that. But our IU merchandise is not like that.”

She then wrote the words, “I love Uaenas [her fans]” in the notebook to see if what she claims is true.

To her dismay, the ink can be seen on the other side thus prompting the Korean singer to save face by saying, “You know this pen… this pen is a bit thick in ink.”
