LJ Moreno and Jimmy Alapag migrate to US with family

By Cara Emmeline Garcia

“The Philippines will always be home,” penned LJ Moreno on Instagram as she and husband Jimmy Alapag announced that they have migrated to the United States.

While the couple remained mum about their plans to bid farewell to their home country, LJ said the transition to move was the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic to their family.

In their latest YouTube vlog, they said, “It's been a strange six months, to say the least. With so many of us affected by this pandemic, I know it has forced us as a family to change course a little bit in terms of our plans as a family.

“Going through everything these past few months, LJ and I spoke about what will be the next step for our family, what's going to happen as far as the basketball game is in Manila.

“We decided to move back here in the States for the meantime.”

LJ clarified that she was adamant to migrate to the States especially after recently suffering from a miscarriage.

“For those of you that know me that I've been vocal that I wasn't for this. I didn't want to move to the States, at least not yet.

“We both love the Philippines. We started our family there and we met our eldest there.”

On Instagram, LJ added that they're not closing their doors to the possibility of returning to the Philippines.

She wrote, “This season has had a lot of ups and downs but God has changed my heart and given peace with our decision.

“The Philippines will always be home and we will always be open to the idea of moving back. But for now, God has made it clear that it's time for a new season.

“This transition may not be easy but as long as we have God I know we will get through it.

“Thank you to all our family and friends that we're able to come and say goodbye, and to those that have sent messages. When everything is back to normal we will see you all again, whether you visit us here in the States or we come back home.”
