By Racquel Quieta

Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto recently appeared on 'Tunay na Buhay' and shared some life updates to host Pia Arcangel.

The former Bubble Gang star and her family are now in the United States, where she spent most of the pandemic.

So much has happened since then and her family has already moved into their new home in the U.S.

Rufa Mae said, “Okay naman ang buhay Amerikana. Char. (laughs) Nose bleed pa rin at saka home sick.”

She also admitted that she has become more domesticated ever since she stayed in the U.S.

Rufa Mae also shared the highs and lows of motherhood.

“'Tapos, siyempre pinakamasaya ako, pinaka the best feeling, pero at the same time, pinakamasakit din kapag, halimbawa, may nagkasakit or umiiyak siya.

The actress then revealed that it wasn't in her plans to stay this long in the U.S., but because of the pandemic she was forced to stay with her family there.

“Two weeks lang talaga dahil nga birthday niya (Athena), third birthday.

“Dapat may gagawin akong soap opera diyan sa GMA.

“So, sabi ko, kung soap 'yon, malamang three months 'yon or six months.

“So, sabi ko mag-stay kaya muna ako.”

Then, two days before Rufa Mae was scheduled to fly back to the Philippines, the lockdown began and she had to change her plans.

“So sabi ko, wala eh, wala ring magagawa diyan, so ituloy ko na lang 'yung dito sa Land of Opportunity, sabi nila.”

However, Rufa Mae revealed that she's planning to come home to the Philippines this year to take care of some things.

“Pero, definitely this year, uuwi ako.
