WATCH: 5 jaw-dropping Filipino homes you can tour on YouTube

By Ron Lim

Because of the different kinds of lockdowns and quarantines we've been subjected to during the course of this almost two-year long pandemic, a lot of us have remained housebound and unable to go out. If the house you're in isn't particularly grand, it can get boring really quick.

This is why housebound Filipinos turning to YouTube house tours for a change of environment aren't a huge surprise. And with the number of YouTube channels dedicated to house tours, Filipinos are spoiled for choice.

If you're looking to go down the YouTube house tour rabbit hole, check out these five Filipino homes sure to make your jaw drop.

1. Scarlatta Estates, Ayala Alabang

Just the sheer size of this estate is enough to give anyone pause. Its floor area is a whopping 1500 square meters while the lot area is 2000 square meters. Even more jaw-dropping is that you're greeted with a six-meter high quartz wall that is part of the elevator shaft. Add the seven ensuite bedrooms, pool with gazebo, and 10 car parking slots and you'd have no reason to leave.

2. Spanish Luxury Home, Ayala Alabang

With about 800 square meters of floor area and a lot area of 730 square meters, this home has plenty of space. There's a landscaped garden, four bedrooms, and an impressive master bathroom with a walk-in closet. An added bonus is that Kapuso stars Megan Young and Mikael Daez are part of the house tour.

3. Penthouse Condo, Mandaluyong

Prefer to tour an impressive condominium penthouse instead? The one Wil Dasovich explores on his YouTube channel is definitely eye-catching. The 475-square meter bi-level penthouse has a master bedroom that is over 90 square meters and a master bathroom is 60 square meters. Plus, the building has all the amenities you need to entertain you during a lockdown -- a bowling alley, a golf driving range, a swimming pool, and a tennis court.

4. The Real Iron Man House, Cebu

Looking to explore what a high-tech house looks like? This house tour conducted by Alodia Gosengfiao gives you a peek in what one might look like. The house is Alexa-equipped and with just a simple command you generate waves in your swimming pool or have your blinds open. The house also has a “man-cave” with a gaming setup for up to 10 MOBA players. The home theater has 17 speakers for the 3D sound experience.

5. The Adamantite, Ayala Heights

Despite being around for more than a decade now, the Adamantite still looks spectacular and very contemporary. It's got five bedrooms with verandas, a guest bedroom, and nine bathrooms. There's also a home theater and at the home's highest floor is a home spa and gym. The house's former owners said they wanted to not need to leave the house, and they definitely succeeded.

If you want to take a peek at a celebrity home instead, Kapuso actor Rayver Cruz just had his bachelor pad transformed a few months ago, with the results showcased on the Mr. and Mrs B of Moss Design House channel.
