Former actress LJ Moreno shared a story about losing some of her valuables when she and her family moved into their new home in California in the US.

Last year, LJ, her husband, basketball legend Jimmy Alapag and their kids all flew to the US to settle there permanently.

LJ spoke about the incident in her vlog "The Wander Mamas" with fellow US-based Filipina actress-commedienne Rufa Mae Quinto.

According to LJ, “It's really sad, kasi from the Philippines, di ba, ang dami din naming valuables and ang daming movers din, pero in the Philippines, wala naman nawala or anything. Pero dito kasi, there were, like, four movers."

She initially wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but the string of incidents made her conclude her movers might have something to do with the loss of her engagement and wedding rings.

"Kaya lang kasi, ang nangyari, kasi magsa-shower ako nu'n, e, parang nag-di-disassemble sila ng furniture, and then my sister came up.

"Nasa baba pa sila, nasa mga rooms pa, nagdi-disassemble. And then yung rings ko, I left it in the drawer with my watch.”

“Pag-akyat ko, wala na 'yung bench under that [drawer], kasi, apparently, pumasok 'yung movers, kinuha…

“Hindi ko naman din naisip na papasok sila…

“Sila lang 'yung nasa taas na, e, sila lang yung naglilipat."

She also had a Rolex watch along with the rings. Fortunately, her Rolex was spared.

“Buti nga 'yung Rolex di kinuha e. 'Yung face ng Rolex, nakadikit sa drawer. Ang nasa gitna is 'yung dalawang singsing. 'Yun 'yung nakuha, so feeling ko binilisan.”

After learning about the rings, LJ was left with nothing to do but pray.

"Nag-pray na lang ako nang bonggang bongga."

LJ said she did a background check on the movers before aquiring their services. As the movers yielded good reviews in Yelp, she did not hesistate to get them. She, however, also noticed there were some bad reviews, too, some of which talked about similar incidents of theft.

“Kasi I complained, I filed the complaint. Kaya lang, even on that day, I was calling the office kung ano yung procedure, ganyan-ganyan, walang sumasagot.”

But her vlog wasn't all bad news, as she also had good news for her followers.

According to LJ, Jimmy is now the assistant coach of the G League of the Sacramento Kings basketball team, the Stockton Kings. Jimmy is the assistant coach to Bobby Jackson, a professional basketball coach and NBA player.
