Michelle Dee says she found 'courage and humility' at MUPH 2022
More than a week into her reign as Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022, Michelle Dee is now sharing more about what it took to get her to compete in the pageant.
In the latest post on her Instagram account, Michelle revealed that she was facing intense pressure not just to do well, but to meet the standards set by her own beauty queen mother, 1979 Miss International Melanie Marquez.
Fortunately, Michelle said she overcame the fear and hesitation she felt before joining the pageant and found courage and humility instead as she competed.
Just like Celeste, Michelle also says she found a sisterhood in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant, as well as “lessons I pray never to unlearn, and moments I'll never forget.”
Michelle definitely was the center of many moments during the course of the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. Aside from winning multiple awards during the preliminaries for the pageant, she also started the Michelle Dee cut trend, where women copied her short haircut, something that she was happy to hype on her Instagram account.
