Kapuso actor, athlete, and entrepreneur David Licauco is very proud of the work he put into his new cafe, Sobra.
Sobra started out as an online food business and in just two years, it opened its first physical restaurant.
David took to Instagram to share what he learned from his food business.
"What I learned from Sobra from the past two years is that when you're passionate about something, you'll go the extra mile to achieve it," he wrote.
He also reminded newbie business owners of the value of hard work and tenacity.
"What you mostly see on social media is only the tip of the iceberg. What people don't see is the work you put in behind the scenes," David shared.
"From booking a rider and posting on random Viber community groups (ty to my friends who included me in their respective village group chats), to going up and down an elevator and sourcing the best suppliers, and so much more. All of these may seem tiring & daunting, but it's definitely rewarding when you see the fruits of your labor," he added.
David also took the chance to thank his business partners AC Adriano and Chef Victorioso who he also credits for the success of the venture.
"Thank you to my partners, my college best friend AC @acadrianoo & the best chef Mike @victmike From a small condo to Molito!" his caption read.
Finally, he encouraged aspiring restauranteurs and all people who have dreams to never give up.
"To those who are dreaming, keep chasing your dreams," he ended.
David's Sobra Cafe opened at the trendy Molito Lifestyle Center in Alabang just this June.
Another one of David's online food businesses will be getting a brick-and-mortar soon.
He recently announced that Kuya Korea, which serves contemporary Korean food and was previously only available through online orders, will be opening a physical restaurant at the UP Town Center in Quezon City soon.
