After almost a year at the hospital battling hypoxemia, Andrew Schimmer's wife, Jorhomy Reiena Rovero or Jho, is finally coming home.
The actor posted the good news in a video on Facebook on October 10, expressing his excitement and glee at being able to go home with his wife.
“Today is the day, mga kapatid. Lalabas na ng hospital ang aking asawa,” he said, adding that they have their entire family at the hospital to wish the husband and wife well and to witness such a special moment.
Andrew revealed that they'll be going home by ambulance and that he will be posting an update later in the day so that everyone can see her reaction as they travel homebound.
“Excited kaming makita 'yung facial reaction niya kapag sinakay na namin siya sa ambulance,” he added.
He also said that this will be the first time that Jho will see the outside of the hospital after almost a year of being confined.
“First time niya ulit, after almost a year, first time niyang masisilayan ang labas ng hospital kaya we're all very excited,” he said.
It was November 24 last year when Andrew revealed that Jho was brought to a hospital in BGC, Taguig after she suffered a severe asthma attack resulting in cardiac arrest and hypoxia, or the lack of oxygen in the brain.
Andrew also revealed then how their medical bills and expenses ballooned to almost P3 million and asked for financial aid to help his wife saying that they would accept any amount given to them.
Andrew then expressed his gratitude to everyone who have helped them.
“Guys maraming salamat. Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. From day one up to this point, hindi niyo kami iniwan. Maraming salamat, mga kapatid,” he said.
“God bless all of you. God bless all of us,” Andrew said before ending his video.
