There is just a week left until the coronation night of Miss Grand International on October 25, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong is now competing in earnest after finishing the pageant's closed door interview portion.

In a post on her Instagram account, Roberta posted a photo of her at what appears to be a holding area for the pageant's closed door interviews. In the caption, she called the interview an “experience to cherish” and expressed her joy at being part of “something Grand.”

Since arriving in Indonesia, Roberta has been participating in a number of activities with the other Miss Grand International participants. She took part in fashion events as well as visited some of the museums in Bali, Indonesia.

The Miss Grand International coronation on October 25 will be the final international pageant that Filipino queens will be participating this month. Back in October 14 (October 15 Manila time), Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabrielle Basiano finished her run in the Top 20, while Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez ended her journey in the Top 15.

In November, Herlene Budol will be competing in Miss Planet International.

Roberta hopes to perform better than 2021 Miss Grand International Samantha Panlilio, who failed to make it into the pageant's top 20 last year. Should Roberta perform better than Samantha Bernardo, who finished first runner-up in the 2020 Miss Grand International, she would be the first Filipina to win the crown.
