Ruru Madrid is the cover star of another magazine

By Ron Lim

It's yet another magazine cover for Kapuso star Ruru Madrid as Rank magazine has revealed him as the cover star for its Push issue.

The magazine posted three cover photos of the issue on their Instagram account, each featuring Ruru in different outfits and poses. In the caption, the magazine wrote how the lockdown brought about by the global coronavirus pandemic forced Ruru to slowly and carefully evolve his “mastery of his craft.” It also took note of Ruru's decade-long career and how he is more equipped than ever to charm his supporters and the entertainment industry as well.

This is the second magazine cover for Ruru in the space of a month, with Parcinq magazine naming him its cover boy for its November - December issue. In the Parcinq article that came with the cover, Ruru talked about his childhood dreams as well as his plan to become a military reservist, as well as the ups and downs he's had in the course of his career in showbusiness.

The two magazine covers come after Ruru's recent stint as the lead in the primetime show Lolong, which ended its run in September but could possibly have a second season. The show has been a blessing for Ruru, who described it on his Instagram account as one of the hardest challenges in his life but also “the most beautiful experience” he's gone through as well.

After Lolong, Ruru is set to star in a drama series with real-life girlfriend Bianca Umali. The series will be titled The Write One and will be the first time that the couple will be paired in a show.
