Will Michelle Dee join Miss Universe Philippines 2023?

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Kapuso beauty queen and actress Michelle Dee shared the story behind her viral post “#deepatapos.”

According to Michelle, she's been using the hashtag in her social media posts since she started her journey as a beauty queen.

"Ever since I started my pageant journey yung hashtag ko has always started with 'deepatapos.' So kaya naging 'deepatapos' lang, I kind of sinarado ko don because I think I wanted to portray a lot of different things," she explained

The Mga Lihim ni Urduja star also expressed her aspiration of joining again beauty pageants and using her platforms to spread optimism.

"One, my desire to join if I can. Two, I wanted to use it to do some good sana because umingay siya and I noticed that last month, with the results of Miss Universe, I saw that the organization actually got a lot of hate or a lot of negativities and I did want to take that opportunity to kind of change the narrative and focus on the good," she added.

The Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 also mentioned the importance of pageantry for her.

“Pageantry kasi it's really a platform to voice out yung mga concerns mo and the things you want to advocate for and for me, I've always wanted to use it for positivity,” she said.

When asked if she has plans on joining again pageants like Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Michelle answered, “If I want to, yes. Can I? We'll see.”

Meanwhile, Michelle Dee is set to star in GMA's upcoming mega series, Mga Lihim ni Urduja together with Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, Arra San Agustin Kristoffer Martin, Vin Abrenica, Pancho Magno, Zoren Legaspi, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Jeric Gonzales.
