“We are in love.”

YouTube content creator Mikey Bustos and talent manager RJ Garcia have officially declared their love for each other in the public.

On YouTube, the Filipino-Canadian actor and singer addressed the elephant in the room which was long speculated by many of his viewers.

For starters, Mikey and his partner have announced their sexuality and identified themselves as bisexual.

Mikey said, “Me, I'm bisexual and identify as male.

“I think I figured I was bisexual sometime in college”

RJ added, “Same with me [on his sexuality] and I've had several ex-girlfriends.

“I think I knew when I was in high school.”

The couple also issued a statement on why they only came out recently.

For them, it all boils down to the culture of the Philippines and their career as a public figure.

Mikey explained, “That's a multi-faceted question.

“First, there's career--and this is a big thing here in the Philippines.

“The culture here is generally conservative, like old-fashioned.

“Not all are okay with a person being gay.

“I find that there's a stigma.

"And so, I think this stigma has carried on into show business.

“So RJ and I, we've been so blessed throughout our career to be the face of many brands, many services, many advocacies and a lot of these contracts have the 'wholesome clause.'

“So for the longest time, RJ and I were afraid to break our contract because it was our source of income and it was our bread and butter.”

He continued, “And now, basically, we were just tired of hiding.

“It's gone to the point where we don't care if it affects my career.

“And we've chosen happiness over money.”
