Kapuso reporter and former beauty queen Athena Imperial announced her pregnancy on Tuesday, February 4.

Breaking the good news on her Instagram account, she wrote, “Blooming at 33 because of the life in my womb.

“God is faithful. Six months after my ovarian cysts were removed, the Lord gifted me and Ben with the child we have been praying for.”

But as the excitement for the delivery of her unborn baby grows bigger, her fear of motherhood also doubles.

“To be honest, I had fears of what motherhood would bring me -- changes in my priorities, career, body, and lifestyle. But the Lord's grace has been unfolding wonders! I am embracing everything pregnancy is giving me. Conceiving is a miraculous experience,” Athena said.

“We are already on the 5th month of this journey, and we look forward to the next phase called parenthood. Please pray with us as fondly await to see and hold our answered prayer in flesh,” she added.

Athena, who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth in 2011, and her husband who's a stock market advocate Ben Rodriguez, tied the knot in 2018.
