They may be today's biggest Kapuso love teams, but let's not forget how they began their romance off-cam. In celebration of the Kapuso month, DongYan, DenJen, and other GMA onscreen tandems told Unang Balita some memories of their first date.

Love of My Life stars and long-time couple Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana started their relationship with good food. “Pinagluto ko po siya ng steak and if I'm not mistaken pasta [rin] po,” Carla narrated.

“Medyo later on niya na na-realize na kapag si Carla ipinagluto ka, iba pala ang ibig sabihin, na you are somebody special,” she said.

Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera have travelled a lot together throughout their relationship, but they keep going back to a special place in Tagaytay

Dingdong said, “Pumunta kami sa isa naming paboritong garden sa Tagaytay na parati namin binabalikan.”

Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado looked back on the days she was still getting to know current boyfriend Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo. “Nag-bike kami. Niyaya niya ako mag-bike.”

“Hindi ko alam kung date 'yun…pero para sa'kin date 'yun,” she laughingly added.
