At the moment, Chef Jose brightens up the mornings of our Kapuso viewers twice a week in Unang Hirit, as he shares his very own recipes.

He also hopes to do some teleseryes and eventually have his own travel show or cooking show when the situation allows.

During his chit-chat with Mars Iya and Camille, he was asked to explain a sexy photo of himself working in the kitchen with only an apron on.

“That picture was just a fun shoot basically. We were just trying different outfits and then the director finally said, 'Why don't you try this na apron lang,' so ayon, 'yon ang ending.

And just in case you're curious whether he was indeed wearing nothing underneath the apron, Che Jose cleared, “Actually may pants 'yan.”

Aside from his sexy photo, Chef Jose also narrated the story behind one of his pictures with his girlfriend, Japanese actress and entrepreneur Maria Ozawa.

According to Chef Jose, the photo was taken two years ago when they went on a vacation in a private resort where you can book a giant house, which has its own pool, game room, and kitchen.

Chef Jose then went on to reveal some fun facts about Maria. He said even though Maria is of Japanese descent, she actually loves to cook Filipino dishes such as monggo, tinola, and sinigang.

“It's also fun being in a relationship with someone na nag-eenjoy din sa pagluluto.”

He also took the opportunity to clear rumors that his girlfriend Maria is snobbish.

“At the end of the day, she's just a normal girl. She's super down-to-earth. She's super nice. And she's just an outgoing person and really fun to be with.”

Chef Jose said that Maria left the Philippines and flew to Japan around the end of March, and since then they've been basically in a long-distance relationship (LDR).

He also shared what their secret is in making their LDR work.

“Communication is key talaga and with the apps now it's helping.”
