Beauty queen-turned-actress Maxine Medina's Christmas celebration was more special this year after receiving a thoughtful gift from her non-showbiz boyfriend, Timmy Llana.

Timmy, a diving instructor, gave his beautiful girlfriend a promise ring. Maxine shared details about the gift on her Instagram post yesterday, December 27.

She recounted, “I thought it was just a Christmas gift but this guy... haaaaay. I didn't honestly expect him to give his speech before he put the ring on me -- 'I promise to take care of you and will love you forever' (YES NOT YET... but its [sic] a PROMISE RING! )

“I'm so much grateful and (100 emoji) speechless when he said those words I love to hear I love you! @timmyllana”

Prior to dating Timmy, Maxine was in a relationship with former Encantadia actor Marx Topacio.

Several of her celebrity friends reacted to her sweet post including fellow beauty queens, MJ Lastimosa and Thia Thomalla, to name a few.

Back in June, the two marked their anniversary together. Maxine wrote then on Instagram, “Happy anniversary! @timmyllana. Thanks for all the ways you love, support, and care for me. I love sharing my life with you. I love you so much.”

First Yaya

Maxine, who finished in the Top 6 of the 2016 Miss Universe pageant will be part of the soap starring Sanya Lopez and former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion titled First Yaya next year.

Aside from them, joining the stellar cast of this brand-new soap includes Pancho Magno, Cassy Legaspi, Joaquin “JD” Domagoso, Ms. Pilar Pilapil, Kakai Bautista, and Cai Cortez.

In an exclusive interview by GMANetwork.com with the First Yaya lead actress Sanya Lopez, she mentioned that being paired with an older leading man is not a problem for her.

Meanwhile, after joining beauty pageants, Maxine decided to explore the world of acting. Before transferring to the network, she has done several TV projects with ABS-CBN including Los Bastardos in 2019.
