After surprising everyone with their engagement, Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna sat down for an online interview and shared how they started dating up to when they plan to get married.

Ironically, Ellen admitted that she was never the type to dream of having a wedding. "I never wanted to get married," she said.

However, now that they've found the perfect partner in each other, Derek and Ellen are truly making marriage happen.

"Today is the first day I thought about my wedding. Wala pang final plans," Ellen said.

Both Derek and Ellen answered that they intend to tie the knot this year, regardless of the pandemic.

Though they were only formally introduced earlier this year, Derek and Ellen had a few missed connections in the past.

Derek spoke about that time they almost starred in a movie together. "I was supposed to do a movie with her. But that didn't push through, she backed out. I ended up doing the movie with Lovi," he recalled.

When they met at a dinner party arranged by their friends John Estrada and Ruffa Gutierrez, Derek mentioned he actually brought his nephew and niece so he could have an excuse to leave early.

After Derek and Ellen became acquainted, Ellen honestly told Derek that she wasn't looking for a relationship, "I'm not looking for anything serious," Ellen said, remembering what she told Derek after they started hanging out more often.

Derek also shared how it took them a while before they even shared their first kiss. "Both of us had no game, parehas kaming tameme."

He added, "I felt something different and I wanted to figure out what it was.

Ellen agreed and added candidly, "We were hanging out almost every day for two weeks na. May konting holding hands na parang hindi mo alam kung holding hands ba talaga o hindi."
