Juancho Trivino takes Joyce Pring on a date at the back of their car
Joyce Pring shares a glimpse of the simple date she had with her husband Juancho Trivino now that they are expecting their first child during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Joyce and Juancho tied the knot in February 2020, and they made the pregnancy announcement on their first anniversary.
The couple is expecting their first child in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis but nothing can dampen the spirits of the parents-to-be. According to Joyce, what helps them thrive through the tough times is having simple joys.
She related, “One random morning, Juancho woke me up to go on a breakfast date outside our home. There isn't much we can do these days (even pre-re-ECQ), it also doesn't help that most establishments don't allow pregnant women -- but we made do, and he made a way.
“I'm so blessed to have married someone who's also pretty chill. Simple lang kami parehas, doesn't [take] much to make us happy, so nag drive through lang kami ng food at 7am, found a random open space to park our car, where we ate and did our devo. Talked about the weirdness of life RN, the beauty of our journey as parents-to-be, and the grace of God so palpable in our daily walk.”
Joyce further said that it's the simple joys like this that she looks forward to share with their baby.
“These are stories I'm retelling our child one day. That when mama and dada were expecting, the world seemed hopeless and dreary -- but we fought for our joy, fought to create beautiful memories, together.”
