Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez and Kate Jagdon split
Kate Jagdon has dropped a bombshell just a few weeks before the Miss Universe 2021 pageant takes place as she announced that her and Beatrice Luigi Gomez are no longer a couple.
On an Instagram story, Kate revealed that the past few weeks have been difficult for her, although she had chosen to keep quiet to protect her privacy. She also added that the statement was just meant to nip in the bud any rumors and falsifications that may arise.
“Bea and I have parted ways. I am simply taking this step to move forward and go on with my life. Nothing more,” she wrote.
Kate then went on to thank her family and friends as she takes “the road to healing.” She then wished Bea the best of luck, called on the public to respect her privacy, and said this would be the last time she would address the issue.
Just a couple of months, Kate had also taken to Instagram to congratulate her girlfriend for taking the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
“The new Ms. Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez and the rest of her court, besting over 99 other candidates in the competition. Your journey of being authentic is an inspiration to every Filipino,” she wrote.
Beatrice, for her part, praised the Miss Universe Philippines organization for being more inclusive and diverse, "It's a breakthrough for the pageant world that are accepting people like me. They're being more diverse and inclusive every year."

“These past few weeks have been the most difficult time of my personal life. It was a conscious decision to keep quiet, after all this is a personal matter and I chose my privacy above everything else.
"I don't want to say anything more that fits anyone's situation. This statement will be short before rumours and falsifications get out of hand. Bea and I have parted ways. I am simply taking this step to move forward and go on with my life. Nothing more.
"I can't thank my family and friends enough for holding my hand during this difficult time and I know you will continue to do so as I take the road to healing.
"We all go forward with love and respect and I wish Bea the best of luck in her journey. At this moment, please respect my privacy and this will be the last time I will address the issue. Thank you.”
