Beatrice Luigi Gomez speaks out about her split with girlfriend Kate Jagdon

Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez has dropped a bombshell on pageant fans and entertainment followers alike as she has released a statement alleging that her ex-girlfriend, Kate Jagdon, cheated on her while they were still in a relationship.

Beatrice posted a three-page note on her Facebook account, starting off with explaining that she has been compartmentalizing her “own personal baggages” to focus first on representing Cebu City in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant and then the country in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant.

A few weeks before the Miss Universe 2021 pageant was about to take place, Kate posted an Instagram story and announced that she and Beatrice are no longer a couple.

In it, Kate said she had chosen to keep quiet to protect her privacy and that the statement was just meant to nip in the bud any rumors and falsifications that may arise.

“Bea and I have parted ways. I am simply taking this step to move forward and go on with my life. Nothing more,” she wrote.

Kate then went on to thank her family and friends as she takes “the road to healing.” She then wished Bea the best of luck, called on the public to respect her privacy, and said this would be the last time she would address the issue.

However, Beatrice alleged in her note that up until the night of the Miss Universe finals, she had been receiving messages from Kate's “followers, friends, and family” wishing for her loss in the pageant as she made Kate's life “miserable” when she decided to break up with her.

She then revealed that she had been on the receiving end of continuous harassment and rumors, with some even accusing her of using her being part of the LGBTQIA+ community as clout. She then wrote that “clout chasing is staying in a toxic relationship just to keep you people entertained,” and then went on to detail how Kate Jagdon allegedly cheated on her.

According to Beatrice, she had confronted Kate on the way to the Miss Universe Philippines competition after she had learned that Kate had been “entertaining a person named 'Adam' for over a year” while the two of them were in a relationship. Beatrice also alleged that Kate had “made out with someone, made a move on other girls,” and had even been going out so often that she would not be home for days.

Beatrice wrote that people around her had warned her about everything that Kate had been doing but that she “continued to defend her and even tried my best to make it work.”

During her time in Manila for the Miss Universe pageant, Beatrice said she would video call Kate as often as possible, but Kate would either be partying or playing video games.

She also admitted to her shortcomings in the relationship, writing that she “focused too much on trying to grow” and ended up taking Kate for granted.

Beatrice then wrote that Kate “chose” to be a victim in their break up and that people were sympathizing with Kate and already antagonizing her.

Beatrice ended the statement by saying that she only hopes for the best for the two of them and that she truly loved Kate and did not regret their six-year relationship. She said that both of them “deserve to be happy...genuinely happy.”
