DOT has started granting Certificate of Authority to Operate for Staycation (CAOS) to some hotels in Manila on October 6. So far, there are 10 hotels that have been granted with the CAOS.

This move comes as the DOT pushes for the slow recovery of the travel and tourism industry, which has been severely affected by the ongoing pandemic.

So, if you've been dying to relax and enjoy somewhere else other than your home, now is the perfect time to plan your next staycation in Manila.

Here's the list of star-rated hotels in Manila that are now open and ready to welcome staycationers.

Grand Hyatt Manila (BGC, Taguig City)

Grand Hyatt Manila was part of the first batch of hotels in Manila to be granted a CAOS. One of their dining outlets, The Peak, is now also open for dine-in guests every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday starting from 5:00 PM to 10:00PM.

Makati Shangri-La

Also included in the first batch of hotels to be given a CAOS by DOT is the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. They will begin accepting bookings on October 19.

Okada Manila (Parañaque City)

Okada Manila is also among the first five hotels to be granted with a CAOS. They are offering special room rates and promotions for staycationers who will book directly with them.

Nobu Hotel (City of Dreams Manila, Parañaque City)

The Nobu Hotel is one of the first hotels in City of Dreams Manila that was given a CAOS by DOT. They have 321 luxurious rooms with Japanese-inspired interiors that you can book for your next staycation.

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila (Taguig City)

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila is also part of the first batch of hotels to receive a CAOS from the DOT. To ensure a safe and comfortable staycation for their guests, they've worked with Bureau Veritas to audit their hygiene and safety protocols. They take pride in being a recipient of the international SafeGuard Hygiene Excellence and Safety Label by Bureau Veritas.

Solaire Resort (Parañaque City)

Part of the second batch of hotels granted with a CAOS is Solaire Resort. They are now ready to welcome staycationers but only select guest facilities, outlets, and restaurants are open, at a limited capacity, to maintain the highest level of safety for everyone.

Edsa Shangri-La (Mandaluyong City)

Edsa Shangri-La is also part of the second batch of hotels given a CAOS by DOT. They're proud and grateful that their high standards of hygiene and sanitation measures have been recognized by DOT. Edsa Shangri-La will start to accept bookings on October 16.

Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila (Pasig City)

Also included in the second batch is Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila. As a treat to their guests, they are offering a Suite Welcome package, with rates starting from P6,800 , inclusive of breakfast for two and P1,500 food and beverage credits.

Hyatt Regency (City of Dreams Manila, Parañaque City)

The Hyatt Regency in City of Dreams Manila is among the latest hotels awarded with a CAOS by DOT. They have safety protocols in place to ensure a safe staycation for their guests.

Nuwa Hotel (City of Dreams Manila, Parañaque City)

Another hotel in City of Dreams Manila to recently secure a CAOS is the Nuwa Hotel. Just like Hyatt Regency, they are making their guests' health a top priority. They will be implementing safety measures within the hotel, and in fact, they have already installed DOH-approved hand sanitizing stations all over their property.

Bet you're all excited to book a room for your next staycation. Just make sure to book days ahead, ask for their staycation requirements, and follow all the safety protocols at all times. Stay safe and enjoy!
