Is it safe to travel?

This is the big question in the minds of a lot of people now that lockdown restrictions have been eased and people are gradually gaining more mobility in the time of COVID-19.

Recent data culled from the Department of Health (DOH) yesterday, October 22, shows that the Philippines has recorded 363,888 coronavirus cases.

The good news is that the recovery rate of those infected stands at 85.83% or 312,333 people, but still more than 6,700 of our kababayans perished from the highly-contagious disease.

Lifestyle and travel vlogger Laureen Uy recently shared on Instagram some of her thoughts about seeing people posting their real time travel-related content.

In one of her posts on Instagram Stories, Laureen admitted that she doesn't even feel comfortable dining out yet in these conditions.

She also added that it is risky not just for yourself, but for your whole family, if ever you decided to travel with the coronavirus still around.

“Remember that every time you leave the house you are putting yourself and your friends, family, loved ones at risk.

“Sabi nga nila think and act like you have the virus so we can all stop it from spreading.”

Laureen is the youngest sister of creative director Vince Uy and celebrity stylist Liz Uy.
