By Racquel Quieta

Bulacan is a favorite destination for local tourists who wish to have a quick weekend getaway. Plenty of resorts and dining spots are found in the province, which boasts of the lush greenery surrounding it and the lovely views of the mountains and rivers.

For a while, during the peak of the pandemic, non-essential travel was forbidden. So, tourists were generally banned from visiting Bulacan.

But now that most businesses and borders are slowly opening up, people can finally escape to Bulacan for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Not to worry though, because many of the establishments have safety protocols in place to ensure the safety of their guests.

San Rafael River Adventure

San Rafael River Adventure is one of the well-known resorts in Bulacan. And if you've been there before or want to check out the place for the first time, then you're in luck, because they're open for staycations and intimate events.

Among the safety measures they practice are regular disinfection of their amenities, observing social distancing, and limiting their guests to 30 percent of their usual 150-guests capacity.

Guests may hold their special events in the resort, given that they only have a maximum of 30 guests.

In the meantime, commuters and people below 18 years and above 65 years of age are prohibited.

They also have the trendy glamping accommodations, which lets you enjoy the outdoors more.

Kampo Garay

Kampo Garay is a camping-themed grill and restaurant in Norzagaray, Bulacan, which opened in the midst of the pandemic.

According to the owner, Ella Enriquez, the idea of putting up the unique dining spot was born out of their quest for a grill and resto in Manila with a cozy hang-out area.

And since they couldn't find one that they fancied, they decided to put up their own in Bulacan.

Their resto-grill has nice outdoor dining spots with canopies hanging above, so you could enjoy delicious meals and play board or card games with your companions come rain or shine.

They offer a slew of Pinoy favorite grill dishes such as fish, squid, chicken barbecue, and grilled red bell pepper.

You can also have the camping favorite s'mores for your dessert.

Safety protocols are also observed in their grill-resto to guarantee a safe dining experience for their guests.
