Filipina tennis star Alexandra “Alex” Eala ends her stellar performance at the 2026 Berlin Tennis Open with a loss to Linda Noskova with a 6-2, 6-4 score in their rain-delayed semifinal match on Saturday in Germany.
Eala has had an impressive campaign, winning against world number 2 Elena Rybakina in round 16 before she ousted world number 8 Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals.
Noskova, meanwhile, advanced to the seventh final of her career and her first on grass. She will face Jessica Pegula for the title, who shot through her spot in the championship match after a stunning win against world number 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
“I just had to adjust my game today, maybe a little bit because of the rain and maybe the temperature dropped a little bit. But as the match went on and we had new balls, I kind of started to feel better and better. It was coming more naturally,” Noskova said.
