Miss Supranational Philippines Alison Black may not have won the Miss Supranational crown, but the beauty queen is promising that her “low spirits” are only temporary.
In a post on her Instagram account featuring a video of her practicing her runway walk before the Miss Supranational coronation night, Alison wrote that any bad feelings she may have about her performance in the Miss Supranational competition only came about because of how seriously she took the role. She then described herself as lucky for receiving “so much trust, support, and love” from Filipinos and promised that there would be another post of her thanking the people who have helped her out.
Alison's followers reassured her in the comments, and even former Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez left a supportive comment.
Alison made it into the top 24 of the Miss Supranational pageant but was unable to make it to the top 12. However, she did go on to be named Miss Talent.
Alison had been performing well in the challenges leading up to the Miss Supranational coronation night. Before being named Miss Talent, Alison was named one of the top three of the Miss Supranational talent competition and was also in the top 15 of the pageant's Supra Influencer challenge.
Alison also placed in the top 10 of the Miss Supranational fan vote.
Alison also used the Miss Supranational platform to showcase Filipino designers, posting a photo of her wearing an Erjohn dela Serna creation that brings together tribal patterns and the terno.
Before that, she posted five photos of herself wearing an orange modernized terno designed by Noel Estopito and expressed gratitude at the opportunity to display the Filipinos “creativity, strength, and palaban-ness” to the rest of the world.
